Will my student be able to choose which classes they want to take?

Yes, students get to choose from a variety of classes in music, theatre and visual arts.

When does the Exploratorium happen?

The Exploratorium meets Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, from Thursday, July 6 – Friday, July 21, 2017. The Exploratorium will have final presentations on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22 @ 7:00 PM in the Oakwood Elementary School Gymnasium.

Who can attend the Exploratorium?

Although located at Oakwood School, the Exploratorium is open to students entering grades 4 through 6 from any school.

Where does the Exploratorium meet?

The Exploratorium meets on the campus of the Oakwood Elementary School.

How does my child apply for the Exploratorium?

All applications will be done online. Click here to begin! Applications and $400 deposit are due by 31-May. All checks should be made out to Oakwood School, with the student’s name and Exploratoriumwritten clearly on the check, and sent to:11600 Magnolia Blvd. North Hollywood CA, 91601. You will be contacted about placement interviews via email.

How much does the Exploratorium cost?

Who can apply?

The Exploratorium is for students entering grades 4 through 6.  Music students need to have played their instrument(s) for at least a year. (For students entering grades 7 – 12, please see our Academy page.)

Does the Exploratorium offer financial aid?

The Exploratorium offers limited need-based financial aid grants. To apply, please fill out the online request form.

31-May: Cutoff date for enrollment applications, financial aid applications, $400 deposit due
1-Jul: Tuition balance due.
